Bravo! CongratYOUlations!

Happy Monday, everyone. It is starting to get hot and humid again here in the upper Midwest, so I spent the day in my crafty room cleaning up and getting ready to hold some workshops. More on that later this week. I did mange to do some creating also.

Today's card is a fun and simple congratulations card, perfect for any number of occasions. The big sentiment comes from the Bravo stamp set. It was stamped with Versamark onto Blackberry Bliss cardstock and then embossed with white embossing powder. I just love that blackberry bliss. I cut the cardstock with the banners framelits as well as two mats cut from the lovely Park Lane Designer Series Paper. If you haven't seen it already, the DSP is buy three get one free throughout the month of July. What a great deal!

The card base is made from blackberry bliss cardstock with a panel of another design of Park Lane DSP. The matted banner was attached with dimensionals to give it some pop.

Inside I adhered a panel of Park Lane in a lighter color to make writing the greeting easier. Another sentiment from Bravo was stamped in blackberry bliss ink and the panel was decorated with the ends that were left over from the cutting of the banner.

Thanks for stopping by today, and be sure to keep the evening of August 25 open. You aren't going to want to miss the goings-on that night!

Happy Grunge Flower

Today's card combines a colorful grunge background with die cut flower and leaves.

I used the Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to construct the background on whisper white cardstock using tempting turquoise, melon mambo, and lost lagoon ink on three different stamps in the set. It really looks like spattered paint, doesn't it?

The sentiment comes from Lots of Thanks and is stamped in melon mambo.

The flower and leaves were stamped in hello honey and old olive respectively and run through the Big Shot with the corresponding thinlets. I curled the petals and leaves a bit to add some dimension. They were layered and adhered and a rhinestone added to the center.

The inside was stamped with a Gorgeous Grunge "washi" tape and another sentiment from Lots of Thanks.

I love the tempting turquoise color. It is such a happy color. What color affects you and how? Have a great weekend and see you tomorrow!

Love and Sympathy - with Splatters

Today's card is a quick & easy card with splatters on the background.

The image from Love & Sympathy was colored with Stampin' Write markers and stamped onto moist watercolor paper.

I then took a wet brush dipped into some lost lagoon reinker and splattered the background. Warning - you really should wear some latex or rubber gloves when you do this. I learned the hard way - DUH,
This sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card.
The water-colored image was matted onto mossy meadow cardstock. After adhering the Flower Pot Designer Series Paper to the front of the Lost Lagoon card, followed by the matted image, the final step was to add a few pearls on the front. Done!

Sparkly Bordering Blooms

This is a quick and simple card colored with Blendabilities and accented with sparkly sequins.

Stamp the Bordering Blooms image onto the white cardstock (4" x 5-1/4") with Memento Black ink. Color with Bendabilities colors of your choice.(And when you take a close-up photo of your card, you see where you went out of the lines!).

Add a piece of narrow ribbon or washi tape under the finished border image. Stamp the sentiment with Old Olive classic ink. Add desired sequins randomly across card front. These sequins were in my stash. Unfortunately, I have no idea where I got the pretty butterfly sequin from.

Adhere the front panel to an old olive card base with dimensionals. That's it! Easy peasy.
