Happy Grunge Flower

Today's card combines a colorful grunge background with die cut flower and leaves.

I used the Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to construct the background on whisper white cardstock using tempting turquoise, melon mambo, and lost lagoon ink on three different stamps in the set. It really looks like spattered paint, doesn't it?

The sentiment comes from Lots of Thanks and is stamped in melon mambo.

The flower and leaves were stamped in hello honey and old olive respectively and run through the Big Shot with the corresponding thinlets. I curled the petals and leaves a bit to add some dimension. They were layered and adhered and a rhinestone added to the center.

The inside was stamped with a Gorgeous Grunge "washi" tape and another sentiment from Lots of Thanks.

I love the tempting turquoise color. It is such a happy color. What color affects you and how? Have a great weekend and see you tomorrow!

Love and Sympathy - with Splatters

Today's card is a quick & easy card with splatters on the background.

The image from Love & Sympathy was colored with Stampin' Write markers and stamped onto moist watercolor paper.

I then took a wet brush dipped into some lost lagoon reinker and splattered the background. Warning - you really should wear some latex or rubber gloves when you do this. I learned the hard way - DUH,
This sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card.
The water-colored image was matted onto mossy meadow cardstock. After adhering the Flower Pot Designer Series Paper to the front of the Lost Lagoon card, followed by the matted image, the final step was to add a few pearls on the front. Done!
