Sneak Peek #1 - For All Things

Welcome to the first sneak of the product waiting for you in the new Holiday Catalog which goes live on August 28. So many lovelies...

This set is called "For All Things" and lends itself to wonderful, quick and simple autumn-themed and thank you cards. The images have a nice subtle linen-like texture that gives your creation an added pop. For this card, I used the Vine Street TIEF which just happens to be on sale in the clearance section of my store. Head over there now and pick one up before they are gone! Just click on the image in the list of items I used below.

I finished the inside with a panel of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment (from which this great set got its name) in Mossy Meadow.

Mixed Bag Sunday

As you know, I have been cleaning and organizing my crafting space. While doing that, I have discovered lots and lots of goodies, including this stamp from Stamps Happen. It is a huge stamp and the card, made with mostly Stampin' Up product, is 5" x 7" to accommodate the large image, called Amish Home.

The image is stamped on Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I colored using a wide variety of Copic markers, using the pointillism technique on the large tree. The card base is Crumb Cake with mats in Pumpkin Pie and Mossy Meadows. The bottom is trimmed with Stampin' Up! 1-1/4" Burlap ribbon. While cleaning, I also found the quote stickers I used on the front and the inside (below) from Authentique and the Doodlebug sprinkles. Nothing like using items up from your stash, right?

Work of Art Chevrons

Dashing in with a Quick Card Today.  This one involved more practice with the Stamp-a-Ma-Jig. Love that tool!

I am really liking this Work of Art stamp set. I love how the impressions give that painterly look. I kept the colors nice and bright and basic - kind of like a crayon box. It reminds me of my days teaching elementary school. Lining up the chevron stamp was a piece of cake with the Stamp-a-Ma-jig tool. This was a quick and easy card.

Beauty of the Season

Here is the first Christmas card of the 2014 season. And as you know from the announcement of the August 25 party/workshop, the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog will open for ordering later this month. There is such a nice assortment of stamps and product, that I am sure you are going to find more than one must haves for your craft space.

This aptly named beauty of a cardinal is from the Beauty of the Season stamp set. The image is stamped on watercolor paper, and I painted him with Classic Stampin' Inks in Real Red, Hello Honey, Chocolate Chip, and Baked  Brown Sugar. Inside, a companion sentiment from the set is stamped on Whisper White.

The front image was sponged on the edges and matted on Cherry Cobbler. Then the panel was wrapped with linen thread and a bright collection button attached. The background panel was cut from gold foil paper, also matted with Cherry Cobbler. The image panel was affixed with dimensionals to the Garden Green card base.

The sentiment on front is from Christmas Bliss. It is stamped onto a strip of vellum cardstock.

One Christmas card complete. I wonder how many I have to go! At least there is plenty of time left.
